AURORA, IL - The Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA) is opening enrollment for the next Illinois Tollway Technical Assistance Program cohort in Aurora.
Enrollment has begun with the next cohort program start date slated for Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
An informational session will be held on Wednesday, July 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. at St. Augustine College, 841 N. Lake St. in Aurora, for local contractors of all construction trades to learn more on the free program and to enroll. HACIA representatives will be available to answer any questions attendees may have.
Participants in the Illinois Tollway Technical Assistance Program will receive comprehensive, customized business development assistance. Participating firms will build financial understanding and business plan development for increased business stability and growth in the transportation-related construction industry. Services are customized to the assessed strengths, challenges and needs of each business.
The Technical Assistance program is intended for contractors or their office managers to receive nine training modules of classroom instruction including Business Operations (Management), Strategic Planning and Partnership Development, Financial Management, QuickBooks for Contractors, Safety Plans, Estimating, Project Management, and MS Project. Services are delivered in a cohort structure which offers a group setting that encourages a collaborative learning environment. In addition to the classroom modules, participants will receive "One-on-One" assistance as well workshops that will assist the contractors with major issues in the bid documents and contract procedures.
