The ComEd® Diverse Energy Efficiency Service Provider (EESP) Incubator Program supports the development of Diverse Business Enterprise (DBE) contractors by offering education and training on ComEd’s Energy Efficiency Portfolio offerings; providing one-on-one assistance with certification applications, business growth plans and project financing; and identifying and resolving barriers to building a successful business in the energy efficiency field.

At the end of the cohort, members will be eligible to join the EESP Network, represent the ComEd Energy Efficiency portfolio to customers to help them receive rebates and incentives for the successful completion of energy efficiency projects.

We are looking for 25 – 30 DBE Contractors looking to grow their businesses.

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible, a contractor must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be a commercial contractor in operation for at least 2 years performing one of the following services to their customers:o Electrical/Lighting
    o Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) o Engineering/Design
    o Electrical and HVAC General Contractor
  2. EligibletodobusinessinIllinoisandingoodstandingwiththestateofIllinois.
  3. Insured and able to provide Certificate(s) of Insurance.
  4. Qualified for or has obtained at least one of the following Diverse Certifications:Ethnic Minority-Owned; Woman-Owned; LGBT-Owned; Disability Owned and/or Veteran-Owned or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned.
  5. Able to participate in training and one-on-one coaching sessions.

There is no cost to this training, which will begin March 2021, and will include workshops, one-on-one consultations and supportive resources including:

The recruitment period ends February 26, 2021. Welcome kits will be mailed to selected 2021 cohort members between March 1 through March 5, 2021.
