Victoria Lopez

Senior Project Coordinator

Victoria is HACIA’s Senior Project Coordinator, overseeing its member database and contracts.

Prior to HACIA, Victoria worked under the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program to help small business owners improve energy performance at their buildings. By switching them to sustainable lighting and HVAC alternatives, her projects saved Chicagoland a total of 1,000,000 kWh (equivalent to planting 11,000 trees!). It's through these interactions that Victoria found her passion for helping minority-owned businesses, and part of why she joined HACIA to begin with.

Sustainability has always been the focal point of Victoria's professional career. In addition to energy efficiency, she has a knack for plants, having worked as a Horticulture Apprentice at Allen Centennial Garden and paid content creator on TikTok. For the latter, she created educational videos about plant science and history, accumulating half a million video likes within her first month, and over two million total video views. She likes to think of herself as Chicago’s okayest influencer.

Victoria graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. in Life Sciences Communication.
