Jorge Escarpita, Graduate school alumni of North Park University in Chicago, founded Escarpita Construction in 2007 and serves as the President and CEO.  Jorge's family were ranchers from a small village nestled in the mountains of the Sierra Madre in Mexico, and migrated to the west side of Chicago in 1980 when he was an infant.   Being a Chicago native, he not only was a student at Chicago Public Schools and a Graduate school alumnus of North Park University in Chicago, but also learned intimately what it meant to be part of the "City that Works".   Jorge has been directly responsible for setting the strategy and goals of Escarpita Construction and is the driving force behind the company.  Under his guidance, Escarpita Construction operates with a philosophy of being creative and ever learning, while filtering new ideas through established, historical, scientific and pragmatic prisms.  Escarpita Construction is a company that specializes in large scale, high-end and logistically complex projects in the commercial, institutional and municipal sectors.  Working with notable institutions such as: Northwestern University and Hospital, University of Chicago and Hospital, Fermi Lab, Argonne Laboratories, Abbvie, O’Hare International Airport, Midway International Airport, Microsoft, University of Illinois Champagne/Urbana & Chicago, Advocate Health, Amita Health, Rush Hospital, Lake Forest Hospital, City of Chicago, Obama Foundation, CDB, Cook County, and Will County has helped establish Jorge & Escarpita Construction as a contractor of choice. 

Jorge is passionate about community, and small business building and currently serves as the Executive Vice President of HACIA (Hispanic American Contruction Industry Association).  He has personally developed a white-collar apprenticeship program to help underprivileged individuals looking for an opportunity to advance themselves as well as consistently sponsoring individuals to Union trade apprenticeship programs.  Jorge also actively supports the American Heart Association, City of Hope Chicago, Advocate Aurora Health Foundation, the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago, Girls in the Game and many more.

Jorge currently resides in the Chicagoland area with his wife and four children.  He is a motorcyclist as well as an outdoor enthusiast that enjoys hiking, kayaking, skiing, and skydiving.  He places a high value on collaboration, lasting quality, efficiency, professional performance and brings innovation and resourcefulness to everything he is involved in.
