Gerardo Sanchez

Gerardo P. Sanchez is the President and founder of Sanchez & Associates, P.C. a Professional Design Firm providing Land Surveying Services and established in 2005. Gerardo has a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolas de Hidalgo (UMSNH) and a Specialization in Highway Design from Universidad del Estado de Mexico and is a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Illinois and State of Indiana.

Mr. Sanchez has over 20 years of experience in Land Surveying managing the survey activities of high profile transportation projects as the O’Hare Modernization Program, Tollway I-90 Widening, LaGrange Road Widening, CTA Milwaukee Blue Line Track Replacement, CTA Red Line 95th Street Terminal Improvements, Western Avenue Streetscape, Midway Aerial Obstruction Surveys and many other transportation projects for the City of Chicago, IDOT and Illinois Tollway.

Mr. Sanchez is serving his first term in the Board of Directors with the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA). He serves in HACIA’s Professional Services and P&D Committee. He is also a member of the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (IHCC). In 2007, Mr. Sanchez was awarded and received from Ms. Rosemarie S. Andolino, Commissioner of Chicago Department of Aviation, the OMP Leadership Award for his accomplishments in managing the survey activities for the creation of the topographic and utilities base file used by all design companies working in the O’Hare Modernization Program.

Under Mr. Sanchez leadership, the company has grown from 5 employees back in 2005 to the present 18 employees. Sanchez & Associates employees include three Professional Land Surveyors, four Survey Field Managers, three CADD Technicians, eight field surveys technicians and two office support personnel.

Sanchez & Associates received the Professional Service of the Year Award from HACIA in 2012 in recognition of the success and grow of the company. This award provided Sanchez & Associates with name recognition in the professional services and construction market in the Midwest.

Mr. Sanchez has focusing in high quality control and closed coordination with clients has established Sanchez & Associates into one of the top surveying companies in the Chicago area, using the latest technology and surveying equipment as GPS Receivers, Robotic Total Stations and Electronic Leveling Instruments, in addition to recently being emerged into the Terrestrial Laser Scanning. In 2012 Sanchez & Associates completed O’Hare Exhibit A, a property map and inventory of parcels dedicate for airport use. The work included the research of boundaries of the entire O’Hare Airport comprised of about 2700 parcels and performing field surveys that culminating in the preparation of the report of land ownership.
