As the Program Initiatives Manager at HACIA, Christina works to create construction-related training programs.
Prior to joining HACIA, Christina was an educator with Chicago Public Schools (CPS). During her tenure at CPS, Christina developed the Financial Literacy program at her school, created and implemented multiple curriculum for various classes, served as mathematics department head, and assisted in post-secondary transition planning. Throughout this time, Christina was able to partner with University of Chicago to pilot and troubleshoot their FinEdge curricula and created lessons to support financial literacy in the undocumented population to be distributed district wide. Christina worked regularly to improve various processes and tools to streamline student data and ensure district graduation requirements were met with fidelity.
Christina is excited to use her experiences in development and post-secondary planning to further HACIA’s work in ensuring equitable access to workforce opportunities for underrepresented populations.
