In 2025, HACIA launched Illinois’s first Clean Energy Contractor Incubator program, funded by the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity and the Climate & Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA). To date, the program has supported over 70 small businesses and contractors from marginalized and underinvested communities in Chicago who are working in or expanding into the clean energy market. As the program grows, HACIA is bringing together industry leaders to help guide its future.

HACIA is inviting a select group of stakeholders from across the construction and clean energy industries to join its first-ever CEJA Advisory Board. This group will play a key role in shaping the direction of the CEJA Incubator by providing insight, expertise, and strategic guidance.

Meeting Objectives: 

• Align on board purpose, cadence of meetings, and engagement expectations 

• Gather initial insights on Clean Energy job & project trends in Chicago 

• Identify skill gaps in the marketplace 

• Define the landscape of community engagement, interest, and funding 

• Set near-term priorities
