Construction Inspection Technician

HACIA’s Construction Inspection Technician Program is a no cost to you, grant funded Program for all Illinois residents with an emphasis on women, people of color and veterans. This course offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines classroom learning with practical hands-on experience. Designed for those seeking careers in the transportation and civil construction industry, this program prepares students for inspection technician roles. We are proud to partner with KAD Engineering to provide students with expert guidance and industry connections.

Jumpstart Your Career as an Construction Inspection Technician Today

This Course will prepare students to

  • Work as a Construction Inspector for IDOT, Tollway, Counties Highway and villages roadway construction projects.
  • Cross-reference between interpreter roadway plans, contract documents, and specifications to inspect contractor’s work
  • Inspect HMA paving operation, HMA patching, PCC sidewalk, driveway, and PCC pavement operation.
  • Prepare participants for the IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities Exam.

Requirements

  • 18+ years old
  • Illinois Resident
  • Proof of Identification
