Meet and greet with elected officials, who championed supplier diversity in passing HB132 & HB453.
HB132 cuts the red tape for our members by recognizing Chicago and Cook County MBE certifications as valid for the state -- no need to get certified by the state any more to participate in state or public university projects.
HB453 will require local governments to make a good faith effort to collect and publish data from all their vendors on their minority-, women- and veteran-owned status. This is the first step towards creating a stronger supplier diversity program.
