Olivia Salazar serves as the Programs Coordinator at HACIA, where she provides support for business capacity programming, including assisting with recruitment activities, data and compliance tracking, and communications with stakeholders and participants. Additionally, she helps prepare administrative reports to support the overall success of HACIA programming.
Olivia is a young professional with extensive experience in research analysis, community engagement, and holds a Master’s in public administration with concentrations in Nonprofit Management and Public Finance. Throughout her career in the public sector, she has developed expertise in outreach, education, program management, and stakeholder relations. Olivia is particularly passionate about supporting organizations dedicated to community empowerment and workforce diversity, which drives her work at HACIA. She is currently focused on expanding HACIA’s impact in supporting small businesses owners and minority populations within the construction industry. As a Mexican Russian individual, Olivia’s unique cultural background, combined with her commitment to driving meaningful change, positions her as a highly effective advocate for diversity and inclusion in the construction industry.
Olivia is passionate about reading in her native languages and volunteering with local organizations committed to advancing educational equity. She serves on the associate boards of two Chicago-based nonprofits focused on improving the quality of life for students and their families. Olivia’s dedication to service is reflected not only in her career as a young professional but also in her volunteer efforts. She is an advocate for mentorship and empowerment, striving to inspire others through both her professional accomplishments and community involvement. A fun fact about Olivia is that she enjoys horseback riding and aspires to one day own a ranch. She also loves spending time with her energetic Shih Tzu, Lukas.
