Marisabel Pozo

Business Capacity Programs Manager

Marisabel is the Business Capacity Program Manager, responsible for delivering both business-agnostic and technical training programs to support the growth and scalability of construction businesses. An experienced urban planner with a background in both non-profit and corporate sectors in Chicago and internationally, Marisabel brings valuable expertise to the Business Capacity Program.

Her previous work in economic development at North River Commission provided her with insights into the needs and challenges faced by entrepreneurs. She recognizes the significant role that organizations like HACIA play in supporting and empowering underrepresented business owners in the construction industry. At HACIA, Marisabel continually enhances the business education programs to further elevate the quality of our training initiatives, and to ensure that our participants stay current with the latest trends.

Outside of her role at HACIA, she manages the Public Relations of her small businesses, Brazilian Bowl and Everyday Brazil. She enjoys reading, running, planning trips, and spending time with her family. A perfect Saturday for her includes a bike ride by the lake with her husband, cuddles with their puppy in the afternoon, and dinner on a patio at night.
