CEJA Incubator Program Lead

Alek Jaunzemis is a CEJA (Climate & Equitable Jobs Act) Incubator Program Lead at HACIA. In this role, Alek manages the planning, implementation, and operations of HACIA’s newly launched Clean Energy Contractor Incubator Program (CECI). Designed to provide eligible industry professionals with access to low-cost capital in addition to support in acquiring insurance, industry connections, and registered vendor status, the CECI program will provide participating contractors with expert led training and mentoring  to evolve their business to meet the demands of the quickly growing Clean Energy and Green Construction sectors.
An experienced Urban Planner with a Masters Degree from University of Illinois at Chicago, Alek’s previous work at Chicago Loop Alliance and Current Innovations have formed his holistic approach to developing solutions for the build environment and the communities who inhabit them. With a passion for resilient infrastructure and the industries that support it, Alek is committed to empowering local organizations and businesses to take steps towards building a Chicago that is prepared to meet the future with expertise and adaptability.
In his life outside of HACIA, Alek enjoys long-distance bicycle riding, gardening, and motorsports. He takes every opportunity to explore the open/natural spaces of greater Chicagoland with his loved ones, catch a film at the Music Box Theater, and host backyard cookouts with his fiancé.
