Position Summary
ARS Landscaping Corp. is seeking an experienced Bilingual Construction Project Manager (Spanish/English) to oversee commercial construction projects from contract award through project completion. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between customers, field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal office staff while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to ARS quality standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, confident leading people, experienced interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Review construction plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
- Develop project schedules and coordinate timelines.
- Monitor budgets, profitability, and project performance.
- Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions.
- Coordinate project closeout, punch lists, and warranty work.
Field Operations:
- Coordinate daily activities with field supervisors and foremen.
- Schedule labor, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
- Conduct routine jobsite visits to monitor quality, safety, and progress.
- Resolve field issues quickly and effectively.
- Ensure crews have complete information before mobilization.
Client & Vendor Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, municipalities, schools, park districts, contractors, architects, and engineers.
- Attend project meetings as required.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers throughout each project.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Plan Reading & Documentation
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Verify project quantities and material requirements.
- Maintain complete project documentation using JobTread and company systems.
- Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, permits, inspections, and project correspondence.
Leadership
- Supervise and support field personnel.
- Provide direction, coaching, and accountability to project teams.
- Foster teamwork between office staff and field operations.
- Assist leadership in improving operational processes.
Safety & Quality
- Promote OSHA and company safety standards.
- Ensure work complies with project specifications and applicable codes.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout construction.
- Address deficiencies promptly and coordinate corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction project management experience preferred
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Experience managing commercial construction projects
- Experience supervising field crews and subcontractors
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to job sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with playgrounds, park improvements, recreational facilities, or sports construction
- Experience with concrete, site work, synthetic turf, or poured-in-place rubber surfacing
- Knowledge of prevailing wage and public works projects
- Experience using CRM System
Technical Skills
- Construction plan reading

- JobTread or similar construction management software
- Construction documentation and reporting
Work Environment
- Full-time, in-person position based in Manteno, Illinois.
- Regular travel to construction job sites throughout Illinois and surrounding states.
- Combination of office and outdoor construction environments.
- Must be able to walk active construction sites, climb stairs, lift up to 25 pounds, and work in varying weather conditions.
