Chicago, Ill. – The Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA) announced on February 4, 2016 that the Mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel, will be it’s Invited Keynote Speaker at the 37th Annual HACIA Awards Banquet on Wednesday, February 17th at the Chicago Hilton & Towers, 720 South Michigan Avenue.

HACIA’s Annual Banquet brings together over 1500 of members, minority contractors, majority contractors & other supporters from within the construction industry along with elected & government officials.

HACIA will also present $35,000 in scholarships to seven university students pursuing careers in a construction-related field as part of the HACIA Scholarship Foundation.

HACIA will honor notable construction leaders with appropriate awards and recognition in the following categories: Civic Leadership Award, HACIA Contractor of the Year, HACIA Professional Service of the Year, HACIA Member of the Year, General Contractor of the Year, HACIA Mentor/Protégé Award, and Project of the Year.

HACIA’s Annual Banquet has emerged as the largest construction-related trade association Awards Banquet in the Chicago area, averaging 1100 attendees over the past 30 years.
