Solar Project Assistant

LiveWire is looking for an organized and energetic Project Assistant to support its growing Solar project portfolio. The primary objective of this position is to ensure that needed documentation and reports are accurately prepared and distributed to stakeholders from project start-up to project close out. The ideal candidate has solar industry experience; construction experience / knowledge is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily quantities are reported for work installed on all solar projects
  • Verify that daily project documentation is complete and submitted to the Project Manager
  • Track solar projects through the project start-up process; keep updated log throughout process, and complete start-up documentation as required
  • Ensure all project correspondence is promptly distributed to appropriate parties in a timely manner – this includes internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide administrative support of the Project Management team including filing, scanning, and creating spreadsheets
  • Maintain all project logs including RFIs, RFCs, and Submittal logs
  • Actively support and participate in solar project safety as required
  • Ensure a smooth flow of communication between all parties involved, and assist Project Managers with meetings, conference calls, and follow-up
  • Preparing documents for project closeout
  • Assist with permit submission and tracking as required

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and self-managed
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn various software systems as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – specifically Excel and Word
  • Protect and maintain corporate confidentiality
  • Handle multiple tasks and projects efficiently to meet deadlines
  • High energy, positive disposition

Qualifications:

  • Solar industry experience preferred, construction experience a plus
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of people
  • Highly detail oriented with problem solving and analytical skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with ability to multi-task
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree or Renewable Energy Certification preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in solar or construction industry
